About
Sarah Catherine Woodruff is originally from Charlotte, North Carolina. She is excited to be back home after spending time in Raleigh while attending North Carolina State University and in Williamsburg, Virginia, while attending William & Mary Law School.
During law school, Sarah served as an Article Editor for the Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice and was a member of the Women’s Law Society and Public Service Fund. She also gained experience researching election law and working in municipal law through an internship with the Town of Cary. While these experiences let her explore a variety of areas of law, they ultimately helped her realize she wanted to work with people on a more personal level and help clients navigate challenging, emotional circumstances.
During her final year of law school, Sarah served in William & Mary’s Special Education Advocacy Clinic, where she worked with parents and students navigating special education issues. The experience solidified her desire to advocate for parents and children and ultimately led her to pursue a career in family law. She is particularly drawn to the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients while helping families through some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
Outside of work, Sarah Catherine enjoys reading and listening to podcasts.
