Lauren Jeffries
Blood Law approaches every case with one goal: the right resolution, without unnecessary litigation.
About
Born and raised in the Carolinas, Lauren Jeffries is a graduate of Elon University School of Law. With over eleven years of experience practicing law, she excels in advocating for her clients, both in the courtroom and out. Lauren has spent the last several years as a litigator with Woodruff Family law Group representing exclusively family law clients with a special focus on cases involving domestic violence and DSS cases involving abuse, neglect, and dependency of children in foster care. Additional legal experience includes over four years working for Legal Aid of North Carolina as a project manager and lead negotiator for multiple state-wide consumer protection projects, where she helped clients avoid foreclosure, working closely with executives in the banking industry to protect the homes of her clients.
While at Elon, Lauren was involved in the Legal Aid Domestic Violence Clinic, the Innocence Project, the Women’s Law Association, the Business Law Association, and served on the Moot Court Board. She was also involved with Amnesty International, the Sports and Entertainment Law Association, the International Law Students Association, and Outlaw--Elon Law's LGBTQIA+ Association. Following graduation, she served as a Judge for several years in the Billings, Exum, & Frye National Moot Court Competition.
Lauren pursued a career in family law because she believes in serving others. There are few situations more stressful, frightening, or confusing than finding oneself in the position of needing a family law attorney. Lauren takes great pride in providing clarity, support, and a sense of calm to her clients during one of the most difficult transitions of their lives. Taking the time to explain, educate, guide, and fight for her clients is where Lauren excels and thrives, and she considers it a privilege to provide such service to those in her community.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys hiking and backpacking adventures. Her favorites were a 6-day unguided backpacking trip through Zion National Park, a week-long backpacking trip through grizzly bear territory in Yellowstone National Park, and frequent weekend trips to the Smokies and Blue Ridge Mountains.
