About

Originally from Franklin, Tennessee, Kristin has spent most of her life in Middle Tennessee, aside from the years she spent away attending school. She now calls downtown Nashville home and loves being in the heart of the city, where she enjoys discovering new places while still making time for some of her longtime favorites.

Kristin attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she earned her B.A. in Psychology (Go Vols!). She later attended Belmont University for teacher licensure before earning her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law in Northern California.

With a background spanning both education and law, Kristin’s career as a civil litigator has been wonderfully varied. She has experience in insurance defense, real estate, and family law. When she discovered an opportunity to combine her legal background with her passion for education by teaching Criminal Justice and Pre-Law to high school students, she eagerly embraced it. While teaching, Kristin continued practicing law on a limited basis through referrals, primarily handling family law matters when her schedule allowed. She is thrilled to now return to practicing law full time.

Kristin has also enjoyed opportunities to mentor and work with students through Mock Trial and Youth Court, serving as both a coach and judge. One of her favorite parts of these experiences has been watching students take what they have seen in the media or learned in the classroom and put it into practice. She loves seeing them discover just how capable they are—and admits she has just as much fun as they do!

Kristin believes family law may be a field she chose,or perhaps one that chose her. Her experience in law, combined with her knowledge of children and young adults and her ability to connect with people, allows her to support clients through some of the most difficult and emotional periods of their lives. She enjoys helping clients understand their options, advocating for the things that matter most to them, and helping them find a path forward.

Family is especially important to Kristin. She is the proud mother of two young adult children, and being their mom is the most important role in her life. She understands that family relationships can be complicated and that the decisions made during a family law matter can have lasting effects long after a case has concluded. This perspective fuels her commitment to helping clients navigate these important moments with care and understanding.

Outside of work, Kristin enjoys traveling, hiking, golfing, true crime, live music, and pretty much anything on or near the water. She is also a fan of just about every sport, with a particular love for anything involving the Tennessee Volunteers.
