Emma Hillary

Emma is originally from Chicago and recently relocated to South Carolina after spending several years in Denver, Colorado. She now lives in Mount Pleasant, where she is excited to put down roots in the Lowcountry. Emma earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado Boulder and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver. After completing her undergraduate studies, she worked for a travel company for several years before deciding to pursue a legal career.

During law school, Emma gained diverse legal experience working with an estate planning attorney and the Denver Public Defender’s Office before discovering her passion for family law. She later worked for a family law attorney over the summer and enjoyed the work so much that she returned for a second term. While in law school, Emma also served as Vice President of the DU Women’s Legal Coalition, was a member of the Children’s Legal Advocacy Group, and participated in her school’s pro bono Civil Litigation Clinic.

Emma chose family law because she finds deep meaning in supporting individuals through some of the most challenging periods of their lives while serving as a strong and compassionate advocate. Family is important to Emma because she believes everyone deserves people they can trust, rely on, and turn to for love and support.

Outside of work, Emma enjoys practicing yoga, taking vacations to the beach, watching a good movie, and spending time with her cute and loveable kitty.
