-
Litigation Case
This type of case is one where we file a lawsuit or file into your existing case for the legal matters you have hired us to handle. Litigation is necessary when court intervention is required to resolve disputes related to custody, divorce, property division, or support.
-
Discovery PhaseDuring this phase, both parties exchange information and gather evidence to build the case. This may include issuing subpoenas, gathering financial records, taking depositions from witnesses, and preparing legal arguments.
-
Trial PhaseDuring this phase, we finalize evidence, prepare witnesses, and develop legal strategies to present your case effectively in court. If a trial is necessary, we will advocate on your behalf before a judge.
-
Ruling PhaseDuring this phase, the judge will issue a final ruling on the matters presented at trial. This ruling determines custody arrangements, financial obligations, property division, and any other contested issues.
-
Case CompletedDuring this phase, your case reaches its conclusion. If the judge has issued an order, we will ensure compliance with the ruling and discuss any next steps if needed.
-
Non-Litigation Case

-
Non-Litigation CaseThis type of case is one we explore resolution options outside of court, such as separation agreements, mediation, or consent orders, to resolve disputes amicably and efficiently.
-
Document GatheringDuring this phase, both parties provide and review relevant documents such as financial statements, parenting plans, and property records. This ensures transparency and helps facilitate a fair settlement.
-
Mediation / NegotiationsDuring this phase, both parties work together—often with a neutral mediator or between their respective attorneys—to reach an agreement on key issues such as custody, support, or property division without going to trial.
-
Settlement DocumentsDuring this phase, once an agreement is reached, we draft and finalize the necessary legal documents to ensure the terms are legally binding and enforceable.
-
Case CompletedDuring this phase, your case is officially resolved. With settlement documents executed, all legal matters related to your case have been finalized.
