About
Amber is originally from Troy, Ohio. She moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 2015 with her mom and three younger brothers to be closer to her grandpa. Amber obtained her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in French from Charleston Southern University. Amber went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Charleston School of Law.
Amber’s desire to pursue family law began in childhood, with Amber being a child of divorce. This desire grew stronger during law school. In the summer of 2022, Amber participated in the Judicial Observation Experience, with the Honorable Judge Anne Gue Jones in family court. This experience exposed family law in a new light for Amber, as she witnessed the effects of litigation on divorce and child custody proceedings. For Amber, family is her backbone, with her having strong bonds with her mom and brothers. She attributes her accomplishments to the unwavering support of her family.
Amber participated in the Judicial Observation Experience a second time in the summer of 2025, with the Honorable Judge Dale E. Van Slambrook in general sessions. During her second year of law school, Amber spent seven months teaching English in Alençon, Normandy, France. This experience expanded Amber’s worldview and afforded her new skills that she can take into the legal profession.
In her free time, Amber enjoys spending time with her fiancé and their three cats, going to the beach, reading, and going to the gym.
