Allison Thomas

Senior Attorney

Allison Thomas graduated from Elon University School of Law in 2021, bringing her passion for family law to her role at Blood Law. Originally from The Sunshine State, she earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Florida before relocating to North Carolina in 2019.

Allison's journey in the legal field began in 2017, starting with volunteer work and progressing through legal aid to eventually interning with the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Her commitment to family advocacy took center stage during her time at Elon University. As a member of Elon's Family Law Society and president of the Public Interest Law Society, she showcased her dedication to making a positive impact.

Going above and beyond, Allison completed a Residency-in-Practice in family law during her second year, further honing her skills and understanding of the complexities involved. Her efforts were recognized at graduation with the North Carolina Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers award, applauding her exceptional commitment to family law. In addition to this prestigious honor, Allison received the North Carolina State Bar Student Pro Bono Award and the Michael L. Rich Memorial Award for Excellence in Criminal Law Studies, showcasing her well-rounded expertise in various legal aspects.

Allison's hands-on experience has equipped her with a deep understanding of the unique stress that accompanies the family law process. When working with clients, she prioritizes listening to their individual needs and tailoring her approach to provide personalized and effective legal assistance. Her commitment to advocating for clients in family law matters is deeply rooted in her personal experiences. During her freshman year in high school, Allison witnessed her parents' separation and subsequent divorce, observing firsthand the challenges they faced. Over the years, she empathetically witnessed numerous family members undergoing similar struggles. Motivated by the desire to actively contribute to positive change, Allison resolved to pursue a career as a family law attorney.

As a product of divorced parents, Allison endeavors to leverage her unique perspective to provide empathetic and effective legal representation. Her goal is to advocate for her clients in a manner that fosters healthier relationships over the long term. Through her personal experiences, Allison has cultivated a profound understanding of the emotional and legal complexities surrounding family law matters, driving her unwavering commitment to supporting individuals facing similar challenges.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Allison enjoys spending quality time with her dogs, amusing herself by annoying her cat and has recently started a small business. With her diverse background, strong commitment to family law, and personal interests, Allison Thomas brings a well-rounded perspective and dedicated approach to her role at Blood Law.
